Being born in 1980 in Austria into a family with a long history in craftsmanship my future was already carved. My father's family tree has been embroidering for generations and my mothers ancestors were, and still are blacksmiths, carpenters and inventors.

I remember my granddad had the first electric garage opener in the Rhein valley. He made it himself out of a Nikko (electric model) car.

We drove up to his house and he pulled out a remote control that was an 80's black plastic box with an on-off button and a joystick.

We didn't have to get out of the car to open up the garage door, and the tiny little electric motor made life not only comfortable but also spectacular.

Since then I have never lost my fascination for mechanisms, forces, architecture, design, material but most importantly people.
